Pace’s website sets no cookies and runs no tracking scripts from other companies.
A form you send to Pace Systems is used to answer you and to learn which websites bring us buyers, and apart from that, the site keeps a few counts that don’t name anyone.
Forms
A form sends Pace five things.
What you type
Everything you type into the form comes to us, along with any files you attach.
Where you sent it from
The form tells us the page it was on, and a campaign or account-manager code if the link you followed carried one.
How you found us
It also tells us the first page you opened on our site and, if another website sent you to us, that website’s address. We keep these two so that we know which places bring us buyers, and the form carries nothing else about your visit, such as the other pages you read.
Your browser
Your browser adds the short description it gives of itself, such as its name and version.
Your network address, scrambled
We get a one-way scramble of the address, made with a key that changes every day. Because it’s one-way, it can’t be turned back into the address, and we use it only to stop a flood of automated forms.
Who sees it
What you send goes only to the people handling it.
We use it to answer you and to see which websites bring us buyers, so sending a form doesn’t put you on a mailing list.
Counts
The site keeps a few counts that never name you.
When someone opens the quote form, sends a form, or calls or writes from a link on the site, the site records that it happened, and each count keeps only the page and any campaign code in the link.
For the length of a visit, your browser keeps that campaign code, the website that sent you and your first page in its session storage, which empties when the tab is closed. They reach us only if you send a form, and no cookie is used.
Where it is kept
We keep what you send in a private database, and none of it appears on the website.
Every font, image and script comes from the website itself, which means reading a page sends nothing to any other company.
The one exception is the Get a quote form, because we use security checks from two other companies to keep automated forms out. Those checks load only when you open that form. They see your network address and your browser, because that’s how they tell a person from a program, but nothing you type or attach goes to them.
The Pace Hub
The Pace Hub is a separate service.
The Hub is at hub.pace-systems.com and our customers sign in to it separately, so what is written here covers the public website only.
