Two Pace technicians, seen from behind, build new medical computer carts on their shipping pallets in Pace’s lab.

Health systems buy their desktops, mini PCs, and laptops from Pace by the thousand, imaged and tagged in our lab.

Pace Systems sets each device up to the hospital’s image, records its serial number, and delivers it when the department is ready for it. We also build and cable the medical carts the computers ride on, and we place technicians inside hospital IT teams.

Refreshes

Every PC gets the hospital’s image in our lab.

Each desktop, mini PC, or laptop is set up to the hospital’s image and asset-tagged at one of more than 100 stations in our lab in Naperville. We record its serial number so the Pace Hub lists every device in your equipment register before it reaches a floor.

If a department isn’t ready yet, its devices simply wait in our 40,000-square-foot building until it is. When it’s time to put them on the floors, we can bring the people as well, and we’ve had more than 20 technicians on one rollout in a single day.

Customers

Rush and UChicago Medicine come back year after year.

Both health systems are among the customers who bring us most of our work.

Mini PCs, medical carts and on-site technicians

We imaged and asset-tagged nearly 4,000 HP mini PCs on one order, built more than 150 medical carts and placed PC-support technicians on site.

UChicago Medicine

Computer programs twice a year

Twice a year, UChicago Medicine buys a program of new computers from us on one blanket purchase order, and we image, asset-tag and install them.

Medical carts

Medical carts leave our lab built, cabled and tested.

Ergotron and Capsa carts arrive at our lab in their crates, and our technicians mount the monitors, dress the cables in the base, fit the scanner holders and test each cart with its monitor, keyboard and scanner before it goes anywhere.

The finished carts then wait in rows in our warehouse until the hospital calls for them, so the hospital doesn’t have to find room for them in the meantime.

Technicians

Placed technicians work at the hospital or from our offices.

We place desktop-support, help-desk, and field-support engineers, operating-room and lab support, and Epic and Windows refresh technicians. Every technician works where the job needs them, and their time is tracked by the hour, so you see exactly what you’re paying for.

Conference rooms

Conference and teaching rooms get their AV from our crews.

Around Chicago, our crews install the displays, cameras, microphones, and sound, with Crestron or Q-SYS control where the room needs it, and your staff gets the drawings and the programming files once the room passes our acceptance checklist.

How health systems buy

One blanket order can cover a months-long refresh.

A health system can place a blanket order for a refresh that runs department by department over several months. We supply, image, and install against it as each department is ready. Health systems can also buy from us on ordinary purchase orders. Either way, the same account manager handles your account from the first quote to the last delivery.
