Lecture capture across campuses
We built the lecture capture that lets Booth record more than 35 classrooms at once and send them as far as London and Hong Kong.

Pace Systems prepares campus technology refreshes of more than 1,000 computers at a time in our Naperville, Illinois, lab and ships them anywhere in the United States. For campuses in the Chicago area, our crews also install classroom technology and campus networks.
Refreshes
A college refresh can involve more than 1,000 desktops and laptops at a time. When the order calls for setup, each machine is imaged and asset-tagged at one of more than 100 stations in our lab, and its serial number is recorded before our trucks deliver it.
Because every serial number goes into your equipment register in the Pace Hub, your asset records are complete before the machines are unboxed. Machines that need no setup ship to the campus from the vendor or the distributor.

Classrooms
We design and install classroom AV, from lecture capture across a whole building to the cameras, microphones, and Crestron control in a single room, and our crews do the installing around Chicago.
At the end of the job, you get a closeout package of drawings, serial numbers, and programming files, and we train the people who will run the rooms so your AV staff aren’t left guessing how anything was put together.

AV for an outdoor pavilion and a pub
We put outdoor sound, a 4K camera, wireless microphones, displays and Crestron control into both spaces, and Northwestern runs them as one system.
Campus networks
We install campus Wi-Fi and switching on Cisco and Meraki, Juniper Mist, HPE Aruba and more, and our crews run the Category 6 and 6A cabling it runs on, with fiber between the closets and the buildings.
On a new building, the same crews can do the power, the fire alarm and the AV as well, so the college has one contractor to call about all of it.

Power and systems for a new engineering center
We did the electrical work, the fire alarm, the security systems, the AV and the network for the college’s new 57,000-square-foot center.

Extending Wi-Fi in a working school
We added data cabling, access points and protective housings to extend the college Wi-Fi while students and staff kept using the building.
Campus security
We install cameras, card access and intercoms on campuses around Chicago under license 127001360, and we can run the cameras and the doors as one system, so campus security works from one place.
For security reasons, we never publish which building has which system or how a campus is protected.
Cameras and access control for a campus expansion
We installed IP cameras and integrated access control, ADA doors included, while the West Campus expansion went on around us.
Technicians
They work on campus if the college is in the Chicago area, or from our offices for a college anywhere else in the US. Their time is tracked by the hour. If a refresh needs more hands than your team has, we can place additional technicians for the rollout as well.
How campuses buy
IPHEC covers computers, networking, AV and software for Illinois public universities, so your purchasing office can order on it instead of running a bid.
A college that isn’t covered by IPHEC can buy from us on TIPS 230105, on OMNIA Partners contract 01-169 or simply by purchase order, and we answer public bids and requests for proposals as well.
Questions
Yes, any Illinois public university can order its computers, networking, AV or software from us on IPHEC. If your college isn’t covered by IPHEC, it can buy from us on TIPS 230105, on OMNIA Partners contract 01-169 or by purchase order.
Yes, we handle college refreshes of more than a thousand machines at a time. When the order calls for setup, each machine is imaged and asset-tagged at one of more than 100 stations in our lab, and if you need people for the rollout, we can place technicians on campus as well.
Every AV job ends with a closeout package of as-built drawings, the equipment list, serial numbers and programming files, and we train the people who will run the rooms. Before that, each room has to pass our written acceptance checklist.
