Buying without a bid

Your purchasing office can order on contract, without a bid.

TIPS members buy from us on contract 230105 for technology and 260202 for security systems, and OMNIA Partners members buy on contract 01-169 through Promark Technology. If your town isn’t a member yet, both programs say joining is free for eligible public bodies.

Your purchasing office will know whether a cooperative contract meets your rules. If it doesn’t, you can simply send us a purchase order or pay by purchasing card or credit card, and if your rules call for a bid, we answer public bids and requests for proposals as well.

The vendor file

Your finance office gets our W-9 the day it asks.

Along with the W-9, we send our insurance certificate and our MBE certificate so your vendor file can be complete before the first purchase order goes out. We’ve been minority-owned since our founding in 1983, and we’re certified as a Minority Business Enterprise through the NMSDC. If your finance office also needs our SAM.gov UEI, it’s FGKTDUUD7TG8.

When the work is prevailing-wage, our IBEW Local 134 electricians are paid and reported on certified payroll.

Your police and fire departments

Your police department may already schedule on Pace Scheduler.

If it does, your town is already a Pace customer. Pace Scheduler organizes each officer’s rotation for the entire year. When a shift becomes available, the system posts it as overtime, notifies the department by text or email, and organizes responses by seniority so a supervisor can approve one. At the end of each pay period, it sends the hours to payroll systems such as Munis, Springbrook, and BS&A.

More than 650 municipal clients use the Pace Municipal Suite that Pace Scheduler belongs to, and 98% of them renew.

Questions

Questions cities and villages ask Pace

Can our city buy from Pace without running a bid?

If your city is a TIPS member, it can buy from Pace on our TIPS contracts, one for technology and one for security systems. OMNIA Partners members can buy from us through a contract held by Promark Technology. If your city isn’t a member of either, it can run a bid that we’ll answer or simply send us a purchase order.

Is Pace licensed to install cameras and door access in Illinois?

Yes, our Illinois Private Alarm Contractor Agency License is No. 127001360. Illinois law has us print it at the foot of every page of our site, and you can check it on the IDFPR’s license lookup.

Can Pace send our finance office a W-9, an insurance certificate and an MBE certificate?

Yes, we send all three the same day you ask, so if your finance office needs them, ask through the contact form or call 630-395-2260.

Does Pace fit out council chambers?

Yes, around Chicago we fit out council chambers and boardrooms, from the microphones on the dais to the sound in the room, and we hand over the drawings and the programming files once the room passes our acceptance checklist.

Send Pace the city’s list, and name your contract.

We write the quote on TIPS or OMNIA Partners, whichever one the city is a member of, and standard items are usually quoted the same business day. If your file needs a second quote, send us the one you hold and we’ll send another within one business day, on your contract.
