The Challenge

Malcolm X College was expanding its West Campus while the campus stayed active, so security had to be kept up through construction while several trades worked in the same buildings.

We also had to protect the existing equipment around us and meet the project’s access-control and ADA requirements, so the ADA door operators had to work with the new access control from the day it went live.

The Solution

We installed IP cameras and integrated access control, which lets the college improve its surveillance and manage authorized entry from one system, and we tied the ADA door operators into the access control so the accessible doors work with it.

While we did that, the campus stayed secure and the equipment already there was protected, with our work coordinated with the other trades on the expansion.

We install under Illinois Private Alarm Contractor Agency License No. 127001360, and the IDFPR’s license lookup shows it to anyone who checks before hiring us.

  • IP cameras
  • Integrated access control
  • ADA door operators tied in
  • Existing equipment protected

The Result

The campus is more secure and easier to monitor, and it stayed secure throughout construction.

  • IP camerasinstalled for the West Campus
  • Access controlintegrated, to manage authorized entry
  • ADAdoor operators tied into the access control

AV for an outdoor pavilion and a pub

We put outdoor sound, a 4K camera, wireless microphones, displays and Crestron control into both spaces, and Northwestern runs them as one system.
